We’re Hiring(OSP Supervisor)

Job Purpose :
Leading The Outside Plant engineers to plan, estimate, design and relocation of copper and fiber cable, conduit and manholes for the outside plant capital improvement projects and maintenance work orders and assuring shortest possible reaction and remedy times, at lowest possible cost. This will include creating capital and maintenance work orders that identify associated costs with applicable account codes, ensure RUS financed projects meet design specifications and that contract procedures are followed. Create and maintain CAD plant database records, right-of- way negotiations, obtaining permits from government agencies and maintaining OSP material inventory records.
Duties and responsibilities:
1. Leading OSP team to Perform route analysis aerial and underground fiber route maps.
2. Providing the road map, for OSP KPIs continuous enhancement solutions.
3. Leading fiber verification and mapping activities.
4. Assuring & Maintain records of fiber splicing and topography.
5. Ensure that all team members stick to all their tasks and SOPs.
6. Develop mitigation and restoration procedures for emergencies conditions such as fiber damages, power failures and other disasters.
7. Use CAD and other software to develop engineering designs.
8. Perform routine inspection of OSP networks.
9. Get state and local permits as required to execute OSP projects.
10. Review and process city/county planning department maps and Construction Intents.
11. Participate in the development of the annual capital and expense budgets.
12. Create system generated capital and expense work orders detailing labor costs, material costs, and applicable account codes.
13. Update maintenance facility changes to OSP maps and CAD database records.
14. Secure rights-of-way from government agencies and private parties.
15. Coordinate capital and maintenance field activities with landowners and subscribers.
16. Apply applicable design specifications to RUS financed projects and ensure specific contract procedures are followed.
17. Coordinate project scheduling with the construction and other departments.
18. Create purchase orders for OSP projects and maintain inventory levels.
19. Perform field inspections at construction sites to ensure RUS standards are being met along with engineering specifications.
20. Track and report on materials inventoried per construction project or contract.
21. Update and maintain as-built drawings as facilities are placed throughout the construction process.
22. Team task tracking and team dimensioning.
23. Identify and close any gaps in team members performance.
24. Team performance evaluation.
25. Team audit plan & output.
26. Identify teams GAPs and highlight needed trainings.
27. Team coaching and support.
28. Managing supplier’s monthly KPIs and performance, and ensure to implement penalties in case of SLA violation by contractor (SLA management).
29. Liaise closely with internal and external stake holders through known communication channels and meetings.
30. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Requirement:
1. B.Sc. in relevant discipline.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant field.
3. Has the required certifications and qualifications, strong understanding, and hands on experience in ITIL operations support processes.
